Nic Kirkman is an (emerging) Artist and Teacher – originally from Yorkshire – she now lives and works in the Melbourne/Mornington Peninsula Region of Victoria, Australia. In her work she aims to provide us with a reset button to help us deal with our hectic lives. Her impressionist style is simultaneously energetic and calming. There’s a joy and humanity to her work . In fact, many comment that her work simply makes them feel happier.
She currently has four main subject areas: Portrait, Life Drawing, Still Life and Landscape (including Seascapes and Urban sketching). She has already achieved a certain level of master in many different mediums; however, she currently loves working in Oils or Charcoal most of all. Her command of colour and various mediums enables her to impart great nuance to different subjects.
